Launch meeting and "informal AGM"* for the newly-founded Society of Research Software Engineering and the launch of the trustee elections. All Society members are encouraged to attend and if you have not yet joined you can do so during the conference.

1. Update from the trustees
The trustees of the Society will present a short update on activities and progress this year and some next steps

2. Launch of the 2019 trustee elections
The trustees will explain the election process for the new board of trustees. Voting will open after the AGM for a period of two weeks.

3. Trustee candidate pitches
Candidates standing in the election will give very brief pitches in the form of single-slide lightening talks. Full details of candidates will be available on the Society website.

*This is not technically a formal charity AGM. Our first formal AGM will be where we present a trustees report on first year activities and accounts.
